With the winter upon us it is time to test the mettle of our fair weather golfers.
As you may know we were not blessed with sunshine for our golf outing in September and Castleknock Golf Club kindly offered to give us an extra 9 holes later in the year.
As a result we will have a casual ‘seasonal swing’ 9 hole outing for those that can make it on Thursday 1st December at Castleknock Golf Club. We have a number of tee off times from 12.30pm and the format will be a straightforward stableford singles.
The golf itself will be free but we will gather €5 per person to put towards some small prizes which will be distributed after the game in the clubhouse.
If you are interested in playing please drop me a note, or contact Liam Delaney and we will include you. Thanks to Liam for organizing this.
On a separate note we have had a very good response to our requests for tradesperson recommendations and there is now a new tab available on the Pines Hadleigh website which lists the recommendations to date.
We still advise people to make their own judgement on the people that they engage and no we cannot guarantee their work but we believe that it is a good starting point for neighbours when looking for a tradesperson in the area.
We are open to more recommendations so if you have updates to the list (positive and negative) please drop me a note to lorcan@pineshadleigh.com.
Thankfully we have had little to report on crime in our area but there have been some thefts (car and some bicycles) in neighbouring Beechpark so continued vigalence is important. In particular I would ask you to be aware of neighbours’ burglar alarms and take a minute to check them out if they go off.
As always – keep a look out – especially at this time of year – and report anything suspicious to the Gardaí on 01 6667000.
